Meet Renuka. From an early age she was physically and sexually abused. She ran away and ended up in domestic servitude at a rich lady’s house in Mysore, where she was held captive. The lady made Renuka work in her hotel around the clock. One of the hotel guests alerted Odanadi to the situation, which lead to Renuka being rescued and brought to live at the girls’ house.
Renuka has made Odanadi her home and is happy there. She is training to become a beautician and is especially talented in making henna tattoos. In the future Renuka wants to run her own beautician business, support herself and live independently.
All funds raised through Yoga Stops Traffick are supporting two safe houses for survivors of trafficking in Mysore.
