Ashtanga & Live Cello music aiding Yoga Stops Traffick
For the 3rd year running Just Love Yoga is hosting an event to raise money for Yoga Stops Traffick; raising awareness and much-needed funds to support the survivors of human trafficking.
This year we are going all out though!!!
Claire will lead you through an Ashtanga counted class whilst Emily plays the cello alongside the practise, aiming to match the music’s pulse and flow to our movement. Using a combination of cello and electronic samples of Indian instruments.
Nada is derived from the sanskrit root ‘nad’ meaning to flow…. It also means sound….
“music is a materialised form of nada and the movements of prana in the body are also nothing but the expression of nada” …
(swami Satyananda saraswati)
Chris will be joining with his kind and supportive assists.
100% of your donations will go to Yoga Stops Traffick, who for the past 8 years has provided vital support for the women and children at the Odanadi Seva Trust rehabilitation centres in Mysore, India. They provide initial shelter, but then also education and further life skills empowering women.
All welcome, do as much or as little as you feel comfortable with on the day.
Date & Time: 17 March 2019
Cost: Voluntary Donation, where 100% will go to Odanadi
Location: Chobham Community Centre, GU24 8NG
