Created by Swedish yoga teacher Annika Wetterson, Paw Paw Yoga Wear helps you to look and feel amazing whilst you’re working out.

After a finding problems with fitness clothes and the right combination of fit and movement, Annika drew design inspiration from her surroundings – a blend of wooded islands, rocky cliffs, sandy beaches and tranquil coves. Paw Paw Yoga Wears signature pieces include dark blue and purple Pigeon Pants, Bubble Pants, Mountain Pawpaw Tops and blue and grey tie dye yoga pants and matching yoga tops.

Her other guiding light is the people of India – who receive fair wages for sewing her designs. Being both people and planet-friendly, Annika makes sure that her fabric is made from 95% organic cotton certified by GOTS (the other 5% is lycra for fit and comfort) and that all transportation is compensated for by Zeromission.

Initially adopted by her local students, Annika wants to make it easy for yogis everywhere to not only feel good, and look good, but also to do good.

This one’s all about comfort, living life colorfully, and embracing who you are.

Without further ado…

Why has your company chosen to support our global campaign Yoga Stops Traffick?

Because it’s important for me to be a part of something that may help people all over the world.

What is your role within the company?

I’m the owner of the company and do everything around the office. Design, marketing, social media and so on.

What does your typical ‘work day’ look like?

I also work as a yoga teacher so I often have classes at the studio. Then I work with Paw Paw Yogawear for the rest of my work day.

How did you come to the practice of yoga?

After I had my children I developed problems with my back. Yoga was the only thing that helped me get better and stronger. So it will be a life long relationship for me, to practice yoga.

What impact has regular yoga had on your mind & body?

I’m kinder to my self and others. And I’m stronger in body and mind. So it works in many ways!

Which is your favourite yoga pose?

I just love Savasana and Malasana. And all the warrior poses! I have many favourite yoga poses and some I just find challenging, like full bridge pose.

How else do you practice ‘self care’ in your life?

Buy spending time with my children and my dogs, then I can just relax. Dogs and almost full grown kids are very good at just chilling out.

Who/What has been your biggest inspiration?

Women who are strong and confident and take care of themselves and others. Women who have a sense of humour and are focused on their well being, a healthy mind and also have a purpose with their lives. Women who want to make a difference in the world.

What do you think is the biggest issue facing the global yoga community?

That we have to teach people that you don’t have to be 25 years old and thin to do yoga. Yoga is there for everyone and everybody.  You just have to find a yoga teacher or yoga style that you feel comfortable with.

What’s on the horizon for your company?

The reach out with my organic wear to even more yogis around the world.

What message would you like to give to everyone taking part in Yoga Stops Traffick 2020?

Together we can make a difference!
